saw a poster on campus that said “who you are begins with what you do”

But it got me thinking about how it actually begins with the characteristics of a given society (or, rather, it is co-dependent on the socio-cultural context and how that was arrived at historically through the people who shaped it) and how much of what we do is shaped by the context around us and our reaction to that context.

Seriously, though, vague inspirational posters have no business in a university setting where they will surely be torn apart by critical theory!!!!!
